I was raised to hold every part of the world around me with equal awe and respect. I was asked when I was 5 years old what I wanted to be when I "grew up" and I responded that I wanted to be a starving artist (even then I knew the stigma that this world had for "artsy people," but didn't even care). Then I wanted to be a teacher, an actress, photographer, writer, art museum curator, teacher again, and many other things. I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2013 with a Bachelor's in both Art History and English, and rather unexpectedly have found myself a Professional Scouter (District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America). Everyone thinks that we need to have an idea by now of what we want to do for the rest of our lives, but even worse, we still are led to believe that we must choose one "occupation" for the rest of our lives. But there's SO much more I want to do!
I want to explore. Meet people. Sing. Dance. Write. Play guitar. Laugh. Be silly. Be profound. (Maybe all at the same time??)
But most of all I want to leave a positive mark on this world in whatever way possible. So this page is not to advertise that I want a job in some field, I just want to be heard and spread my positivity. If you're reading this- just know that I want you to be happy and I want you to laugh.
I want the people of this world, particularly younger generations, to remember that every moment is equally as memorable as the next or the last and a chance to learn a life lesson or something about ourselves or another person, but more importantly a chance to smile. Even better, to LAUGH. Everyone has their own dreams, ambitions, goals, missions, reasons for being here and I believe mine is to support others, make them smile, and help them learn- however that may be. That is what I want this page, and my blog, to do.
