Agim Markashi, currently Vice President at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, has been with the company for several years now. He was initially the Assistant Vice President and Senior Financial Analyst at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch & Co in Jersey City, NJ, followed by serving as the Assistant Vice President and Senior Financial Analyst at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments.
In these roles he had to audit hedge funds, private equity funds and asset management companies and also serve as a legal entity controller. Now, as the Vice President, Agim Markashi not only manages alternative investments but also handles LOB expenses and detailing while overseeing cash flow activities, maintaining books and records of Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments and managing capital call loans to private equity feeder funds.
In 2005, Agim Markashi graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and has been working diligently to acquire the expertise that propelled his professional success to where he is today. Mr. Markashi is an expert in the finance, financial reporting, auditing, GAAP, investments, account reconciliation, accounts payable. He is also skilled at Oracle Operating System, Hyperion, Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and fluent in Albanian.
In his free time, Agim Markashi likes to watch football and baseball, rooting passionately for his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and New York Mets. He also referees local football leagues with the Richmond County Officials and officiates for both children and adults in various leagues.
