Agita Pasaribu is a lawyer, award-winning tech-charity founder, and global digital ethics advocate.
She is the founder of Bullyid App - NMA Foundation, a globally recognized tech-charity that provides confidential psychological and legal support to victims of online harassment and technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV). Under her leadership, Bullyid App has impacted over 2 Million+ Indonesians and was recently honored by the UNFPA TFGBV Safety Showcase.
Currently, Agita leads the Safe in Tech, an AI-powered initiative focused on equipping youth with digital safety knowledge, building tools to prevent online harm, and promoting safety-by-design principles.
Over the last decade, Agita has contributed meaningfully to major global agendas. She has advised and participated in the G20 Presidential Tracks in Indonesia and India, and currently serves as a W7 Advisor for the G7 under Italy and Canada’s presidency, helping shape international strategies to mitigate digital harms, prevent online abuse, and promote tech policy frameworks that safeguard women and girls.
Agita also serves as an AI Policy Research Member at the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP) and contributes to the UNESCO Youth AI Ethics Steering Committee.
At the AsiaGlobal Institute, her research explores the legal and ethical implications of deepfake technologies, contributing to cross-sector conversations on AI safety and regulatory innovation.
She has previously served as the AI Ethics and Legal Advisor at Care Innovation Corporation and has worked closely with stakeholders in the public and private sectors, including UN Women, UNICEF, Nasdaq, the WHO, ITU, and Chatham House. Her work has been featured internationally on CNN, DW, Nasdaq, and CGTN, among others.
Agita's achievements have been recognized globally. She is the recipient of the ITU Innovation Challenge Award, EU Social Award, Global Strategic Leadership Award, and was honored by Tatler’s Gen.T as a Leader of Tomorrow. She is also a Vital Voices Fellow, AsiaGlobal Fellow, McCain Fellow, and alumna of several prestigious youth leadership programs including Fred J. Hansen, and Women Deliver Young Leaders.
With over 10 years of experience working across nonprofit, corporate, and multilateral spaces, Agita serves as an advisor and board member to various institutions on digital safety, AI policy, and ethical technology.
