From the Cross to the Church. That’s my new book.
I have to confess that although I call it my book, it really is not. All I did was to construct a setting—the years between the crucifixion of Jesus and the emergence of the church—and then cataloged the brilliant ideas of others: scripture scholars, historians, archaeologists, and theologians as their writings illuminated the journey from the cross to the church. It’s an inventory of sixty years of study.
A great deal has been discovered in that time which sheds light on the processes which led to the church, but most people know little or nothing about these discoveries. Of course, most people are not interested in the subject, but, the curious and those who are interested will be surprised at the findings of these scholars.
There is no work other than mine which covers so much material so compactly for the general reader. It is available as an e-book from most e-retailers, as a paperback or hardbound from West Bow Press, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and in bookstores starting around the end of October, just in time for holiday giving. Remember, a good read makes a great gift.
