Annette G.

I was born and raised in South FL to Cuban parents and two brothers. I graduated from Miami Springs Senior High School in 2001 and later continued my education in Miami Dade College part time while I was working full time. I was married in 2003 and moved to a small farm in North Florida. I have 2 children Alex and Veronica. My husband and I love animals and believe that children should be taught to be responsible. The children assist in the care of 4 dogs and other farm animals.

I am a recent graduate of University of Phoenix Online Campus, where I have completed my studies for a Bachelors in Science in Elementary Education. U would enjoy to continue my lifelong learning. I currently work at the Arc of North Florida as an AWD Instructor.

During my education, I have had some wonderful teachers. One of those wonderful teachers was my Language Arts 10th and 12th grade teacher, Mrs. Mercadal-Macias. She was an awesome teacher and a great storyteller. She kept the classroom involved and interested in the curriculum. I strive to be a great teacher who can motivate her students to want to keep learning, exploring, and looking for ways to make their world a better place.

I am fluent in two languages, English and Spanish. I am currently self-teaching myself American Sign Language, and I have also taken courses in French and German. My interests are history, science, current events, reading, my own children and managing our small farm.

Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions at I look forward to hearing from you!
