Ahmad Khawaja

A leader in the field of technology development, Ahmad Khawaja focuses his time on improving the integration of machines and systems to create an artificial intelligence (AI) platform that provides for a better future. Currently, Ahmad Khawaja oversees the Artificial Intelligence Defense Platform (AI-DP), which is working on ISABELLA, a repository of data in multiple languages that is informed by AI systems. ISABELLA pulls data from encyclopedias, the Internet, intelligence resources, and other sources.

Ahmad Khawaja and his team are building this AI to adapt to virtually any scenario by recognizing and addressing practical gaps in the functions of society, from tending to waste to delivering packages. The need for a platform like ISABELLA has become even more apparent with the current coronavirus pandemic, as it is uniquely equipped to fill some of the gaps created by social distancing. With the long-term impacts of any humanitarian crisis, ISABELLA’s mechanisms of pattern recognition and synthesis will continue to be relevant by the time Ahmad Khawaja introduces them publicly by 2025.

Outside of work, Ahmad Khawaja maintains a strong commitment to giving back to the community. His various efforts over the years earned him the recognition of Pope Francis, who bestowed upon him the Medallion of Goodness and Philanthropy.
