Ahmed Salim is the producer and director of 1001 Inventions, a leading Middle Eastern science and cultural heritage brand and UK-based educational organisation. Under his leadership, 1001 Inventions produces global educational programmes, award-winning exhibitions, live shows, short films, books and educational resources that have engaged over 100 million people around the world.
In the past four years his exhibitions have received over 5 million visitors with blockbuster successes in major cities and venues around the world such as the Science Museum in London, New York Hall of Science in New York City, California Science Center in Los Angeles, Malaysia's National Science Center and Museum of Islamic Art, Doha.
As a part of a long term partnership pioneered by Ahmed Salim with National Geographic, a 1001 Inventions interactive science exhibition was hosted at National Geographic Museum in Washington DC. National Geographic have published two books produced by Ahmed Salim, '1001 Inventions and Awesome Facts from Muslim Civilization' and '1001 Inventions the Enduring Legacy of Muslim Civilization' with a foreword from His Royal Highness Charles, The Prince of Wales.
His short film, '1001 Inventions and the Library of Secrets' starring Sir Ben Kingsley, has been downloaded 25 millions times and won 27 international gold and grand prix awards including Best Education Film from Cannes, London, New York and Los Angeles film festivals.
Ahmed Salim is also a Producer and Director of ETM International, a music and record label that represents and produces music from the international artist and musician Sami Yusuf, celebrity partner for the United Nations World Food Programme.
