Ahmed Abubakar Bature

Hi, I am Ahmed Abubakar Bature, a documentary photographer, visual storyteller, and teacher in Nigeria. Born in Taraba state, the northeastern part of the country. Who is specialized in visual storytelling and creative portraits.

I focus on giving communities and people a voice, using photography and videos as a medium to highlight problems/solutions at the community level. I also have an interest in documenting beautiful moments of cultures, urban poverty, and rural development. In early 2022, I was among the top 100 photographers of the WeNaija Photo Contest organized by the Nigeria Solidarity Support Fund.

I also have a passion for utilizing my visual narrative ability to inform, engage, and impact social change.
