The world has been my playground and my classroom. With my passport holding stamps from approximately 30 countries and 12 years of employment at multinational companies in the Middle East and New Zealand, I have found that the world is both small and large, and that I have much more to learn.

While I spent from 1991 to 2002 employed in the field of international business and marketing, I switched gears in 2003 and became a college professor. I thoroughly enjoy teaching!

The management and marketing classes I have taught, at both an undergraduate and MBA level, include International Business, Marketing Management, International Management, Strategic Management, Principles of Marketing, International Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, Fundamentals of Marketing, Retailing, Advertising, and Green Marketing. Yes, that's 13 different courses (11 of them at UMD)!

When I am not teaching, I am doing research, aka – learning. My research interests include the study of international corporations and how multinationals adjust their strategies to respond to cultural and socio-political differences. Being able to share my knowledge, either through the classroom or my research, provides me a great joy. I have been fortunate to have been published in the Journal of Business Case Studies, the Journal of Business and Economics Research, Ivey Publishing, Case Research Journal, Business Studies Journal, and in the proceedings of ASAC Conference in 2008 and 2012, and the GIBA 2014 Conference.

However, my family provides me the most joy. I love being a father to a GREAT daughter and a WONDERFUL son. It is with pride that I have taken on the role of family historian, capturing the memories and life-happenings on camera. Ten years ago, my life was very different. Today, I am living the American Dream, with the added privilege of teaching college students - the future of America! My former students will attest that my classes are both informative and fun!
