Agricultural Engineer with comprehensive practical experience ranging from 3 to 5 years across the full agricultural value chain, including field operations and large-scale cold storage management. This experience was gained within the operational environment of PepsiCo (Chipsy Egypt), one of the world’s leading companies in the food and beverage industry with a fully integrated supply chain system.
Experienced in managing the full crop cycle, starting from agricultural operations during the planting season, including monitoring crop health, ensuring production quality, and implementing plant protection and plant health management programs. This includes Roguing operations (removal of infected plants) and controlling viral and bacterial diseases that affect seed quality, with the objective of maintaining high production quality and minimizing losses.
Following the harvest season, responsible for supervising large-scale cold storage operations with capacities reaching up to 30,000 tons across multiple external storage complexes. Responsibilities include managing receiving operations, sorting, grading, storage processes, and logistical coordination. Also experienced in workforce management, supervising equipment operations (forklifts and reach trucks), and ensuring compliance with international food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and BRC.
Possesses strong coordination skills with storage complex management to execute seasonal operational plans, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure supply chain performance. Additionally experienced in applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Kaizen to enhance operational efficiency, reduce losses, and improve overall operational performance, along with the ability to make data-driven decisions, prepare operational reports, and effectively integrate agricultural and storage operations.
