I was born and raised in Massachusetts not far from Boston. I graduated from Lexington High School in 2004 then continued on to major in Art History at Williams College as a member of the class of 2008. Following college, I realized that I wanted to enter the public service sector and worked for about 3 years as the development coordinator at the Asian American Civic Association (AACA), a nonprofit organization in Chinatown. While working at AACA, I discovered my passion for helping people attain a higher education. This self-realization fueled my decision to enter graduate school at Boston College's Lynch School of Education as a MA student in the higher education administration program.
