Daughter, Sister, Engineer, I am one of sixteen women in a class of 160 trying to make it in a male dominated area, Down to earth, Traditional, Faithful, Spiritual, Straightforward, Conscientious, Workaholic, Perfectionist, Reserved, Skeptic, Strong Resolve, Calm, Emotionally Stable, Catholic, determined to show women are as capable as men and can make it in a man's world!

Engineering is where I can use my knowledge and skill to enhance the welfare of mankind. It is where I can look at a problem, come up with multiple solutions, and then get to choose the best choice not only for myself but others. Engineering is being able to take things apart, figure out how they work and then put it back together in a more efficient way. Engineering is a way for me to help protect the ones I love and the ones I might not know, such as the men and women who fight for our freedom. It let's me sleep peacefully at night knowing that I've done my best to make sure more men and women come home to their families.

Engineering is my passion because everything is always changing. Everyday something new and exciting comes along. People are always coming up with new problems they want to be solved, and engineers will always be there to fix them. I think Albert Einstein said it best, "Scientists investigate that which already is; Engineers create that which has never been."
