Rajat Ahuja is a technologist working and residing in San Jose, CA. His research, work and technological interests revolve around video, multimedia, compression, protocols, networking, document image processing, pattern recognition and project management. Rajat is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where he earned his B. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2003. From 2003-2004, Rajat worked as an IT Systems Integrator with Intel Corp. at their Bangalore, India operations, supporting Intel’s e-business infrastructure. Starting 2004, Rajat pursued his graduate degree in EE at the beautiful University of Maryland at College Park, where he worked part-time as a student developer for the JIFSAN Clearinghouse. In Summer 2005, Rajat worked as a GUI and back-end developer for a research project that matured into a start-up for DDoS prevention systems, NetImmune Inc. (now RioRey). From 2005-2007, Rajat worked as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Language and Media Processing Lab at the UM Institute of Advanced Computer Studies. Oh yeah, and all the while studying in Roorkee and College Park, Rajat had an awesome time jamming and performing with his two bands, Arcane and Antardhwani. In California, Rajat has performed twice with the Silicon Valley-based band, Lords of Karma. Rajat is always eager to meet musically like-minded and talented people around the bay area to jam with.
