Community Management, Business Development, and Scientist in Heidelberg, Germany
The last five years I've been having a great time doing community building for bioinformatics. I love community work - helping people work together to get the stuff that matters done!
Most of my community experience is for scientific/bioinformatics research and training, science communication, IT, and career development. I'm particularly excited by my work with the Heidelberg Unseminars in Bioinformatics (HUB) series of events we've been running since 2012.
Until recently, I did this at the EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory) in Heidelberg, Germany - now I'm doing it at the Earlham Institute (EI) in Norwich, UK. My work at the EI focuses on two bioinformatics tools, SignaLink and Navigomix, where I'm also working on their business development.
