Community Management, Business Development, and Scientist in Heidelberg, Germany
The last six years I've been having a great time doing community building for bioinformatics. I love community work - helping people work together to get the stuff that matters done!
Most of my community experience is for scientific/bioinformatics research and training, science communication, IT, and career development. I'm particularly excited by my work with the Heidelberg Unseminars in Bioinformatics (HUB) series of events we've been running since 2012.
I've done this work at the EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory) in Heidelberg, Germany – more recently at the Earlham Institute (EI) in Norwich, UK – and currently as Interim ELIXIR-UK Node Coordinator.
