Hire me

I have recently finished an MSc in Computational Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics at Newcastle University. My previous background is based on computer engineering, technical training and management, but I am currently looking to make a step up into a computational neuroscientist role.

Well versed in analysing and solving critical and complex issues, I am experienced in working on long-term projects (SC@LA and SPENCER) and as a manager.

Having worked in different countries (Austria, Spain, Portugal and France), as well as with large and small teams have made me improve my organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and within large teams.

Computational neuroscience experience:

* I have worked during my MSc on a short project to study the effect of brain stimulation on connectivity between two brain regions. I used a computational model of the brain connectivity developed in Matlab as part of the VERTEX project.

* Dissertation: "Nonlinear variability of electromyography signals from lower leg muscles during postural tasks in people with Parkinson's disease: An indicator of altered sensory-motor control" This research involves analysing EMG data obtained by the Institute of Neuroscience and Newcastle University Institute of Ageing, using Multiscale entropy (MSE) to obtain the complexity of the lower limb muscles responsible for balance control.
