As a journalist, the center of my stories is always "people".
I enjoy doing long-form feature with engaging sounds and visuals that bring my audience to the scene.
I am always keen to explore and present how social phenomena and politics impact people in every way.
Issues I have covered include Medicaid coverage gap, bridges deterioration in Missouri, transgender surgery, lack of diversity in law enforcement agencies, impact of closure of event center...
Here are some examples:
- Hunting for the Long-Lost Steamboat Malta - a journey to find impressive collection of America's history
- Missouri State Highway Patrol Struggle to meet minority numbers
- Gov Nixon and FFA Members Show Mixed Feelings for the Future of Missouri Agriculture
- Events center's closure forces shows out of town
Currently I work as assistant producer at KBIA Intersection. I am also working on some micro-documentary projects.
I write print stories as well. Click here to see my clips at Columbia Missourian.
I am constantly honing my HTML and CSS skills.
Here is the sample of a newspaper website I redesigned and coded with two others. I also designed a responsive mobile page for a news project.
Back in China, I worked at Tianjin TV station for a brand-new reality show.
I am also an interpreter and mediator for multiple delegations of Chinese major media networks' visits in U.S.
