Hi, I'm Aimee Lawrence. I currently live in Düsseldorf, Germany, where I'm a visiting graduate student with the SFB 991 (Structure of Representations) at Heinrich Heine University. My more permanent affiliation is with the University of Texas at Austin, where I'm a Ph.D. student. I'm interested in descriptive linguistics, lexical semantics, and syntax from both historical and synchronic (functional) perspectives. I work primarily on Nomatsigenga, an Arawak language spoken in Peru. In my free time, I like knitting, sewing, running, and hanging out with my nine-month-old.
