Aine' Branch

I am an apparel design graduate From The school of apparel design and development at Seattle Central, one of the best schools in the country. My main focuses are well tailored garments and designing clothing that are fashion forward yet comfortable. My biggest designing influences are Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce and Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Elisa Palomino and Anna Sui. I love playing with colour and textureand the design process. I love Vintage and antique clothing and utilize those heritage elements in many of my designs.

I am a skilled pattern drafter, using flat and draping methods. I can do both industrial machine (lock stitch, serger, blind hemmer) and couture hand sewing using a wide range of textiles including leather and silks. I am proficient in both PC and Mac with Microsoft office, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop for technical drawings and specification packages.

I have a strong work ethic and proficiently meet deadlines. I work well in group settings, doing what it takes to get the job done. I take direction well and work efficiently without supervision.I am not afraid to learn new things and new ways of doing things. No job is too big or too small for me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my profile.

I was honoured by being chosen by my School to represent SCCC for the Project Red Dress show at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle Washington. Project red dress is a fund raiser for the American Heart Association,
I first submited a sketch and then the Heads of the show chose my model. I was sequestered for 3 saturdays without books or resources. All I had was my tools and a measurement sheet for my model. I make a pattern first from the measurements, Then did a muslin mock up for the fitting. From that I was able to motify my pattern and make this beautiful dress.

The Dress is Bias cut 100% creped back silk in Chili pepper with a cowl front and cowled back. My dress was one of the favourites of the evening. Every woman wanted the dress and every man wanted their lady in it. My amazing model is Marni Hughes Ancorwoman for Q13 Fox and Spokesperson for the American Heart Association
