Joseph Campbell once said: "Follow your bliss and the Universe will open doors where there were only walls" and this is pretty much what yoga is to me.
Yoga is ancient wisdom that offers timeless tools for the skillful practice of connecting breath, mind and body. In our class, we will deepen the practice, building physical and mental endurance, and creating spaciousness and peace in your everyday life.
I was born in Central Asia, where I was trained as a dancer and an interpreter. I started to discover amazing benefits of yoga while training for the ALC bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 2006, and ever since have studied its various styles.
Certified through the Yoga to the People 200-hour yoga teacher-training course in San Francisco in accordance with the Yoga Alliance. In addition, I have studied Tibetan yoga Kum Nye and meditation at Nyingma Institute in Berkeley, founded by Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tuku, and try to share the sacred wisdom in my classes.
