Aisha Crawford

Aisha Crawford is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she studied Political Science and Sociology.

In 2012, she studied abroad in Lima, Peru where she studied the Spanish language and Global Understanding. This trip ignited her passion for globe trotting. In Lima Aisha worked with Un Techo to build up the impoverished slums of the small village Villa Maria del Triunfo. (read about it here)

In her hometown of Charlotte, NC, Aisha was a middle school teacher with Citizen Schools where she worked ambitiously to help close the opportunity gap that many inner-city youth face.

Aisha is currently preparing for her next exploration as a Fulbright English Teacher in Malaysia. Please follow her journey and live through her snapshots of Southeast Asia.

Furthermore, Aisha loves adventures. She was able to hike, bike, kayak and zip-line her way through the ancient Inca Trail on a treacherous journey that led to the legendary Machu Picchu. Aisha is thrilled by the endless possibilities that travel provides. She passionately loves observing and experiencing new cultures. She believes that it is the key to global understanding.
