Aisha Marshall

Hello my name is Aisha Marshall. I am twenty-two years old. I am currently in nursing school at Universidad Adventista de las Antillas in Puerto Rico. My family raised me in the church from a young age. I am associated with the Apostolic/Pentecostal religion. This religion is based on the Apostles in the bible who experienced the day of Pentecost. We believe that one must repent and turn away from their sins, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit (evidence by speaking in tongues) in order to be saved. I attended Truth Apostolic Church in San Bernardino for fifteen year plus and held many positions in the church that included praise team, choir, ushering, etc. I was baptized at nine years old (not by choice, kind of forced) and received the Holy Spirit at the same age. Growing up I have always felt that I have identified with this church although there are things that I do not agree with. After being associated with the church for so many years and being sheltered by my parents due to the fact that we believe one should not be conformed to this world of sin, I feel I never really got to experience life. Right now I would say my spiritual journey is at a halt. I am currently battling my own inner problems. I love Jesus Christ and always will but I know that I am not where I am suppose to be at in terms of spirituality. For I know God has planted a seed in me and that seed will soon grow into a beautiful flower one day. I ask that you keep me in your prayers for my spiritual walk with God.
