Aisha Fairclough

Aisha Fairclough, with a background in Anthropology and Communications from York University, Aisha is a Toronto based filmmaker and casting producer. She has worked on television series for Food Network Canada, Slice, TVO, Much Music, CTV, CBC and TLC International.In addition to casting for reality based television she has researched for several documentaries including the documentary Clubland which received rave reviews at the 2009 Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival. Aisha is currently the Programming Director for BITE ME! Toronto International Body Film and Arts Festival.In 2008 she was selected as one of the Reel World Film Festival’s ”Emerging 20” and directed and produced a short PSA, for Pride Toronto. Aisha provides consultations for production companies seeking equitable casting reflective of our countries diverse demographic. Her current projects include Unqualified Beauty a documentary on gender-bending, Body Stories and Hip Hop and the gay community.
