Hey, my name is AJ Dugan and I am a freshman at the University of Georgia. One aspect in my life that others would find interesting is that I from Colorado and I love to ski. When I was really young, my parents introduced me to the mountain and I have loved it ever since. It's a great feeling to wake up early and ski for the whole day until you basically can't move. I have always had a natural talent for it, whether it's downhill skiing, park skiing, or anything in-between. I feel most alive when I am skiing the hardest terrain and trying to challenge myself to get better every time. It is a huge privilege to be able to do this and to be from where I am from because a lot of people will never be able to experience it. Also, skiing with my friends has brought me really close to them and it's something that we can naturally bond over. One of the main things that I love about skiing is the freedom to do really whatever you want on the mountain. Listening to music, talking on the chairlift, and trying to be the best skier on the mountain are all things I enjoy about it. It was a major activity that I had to give up when coming to Georgia, but I rarely miss it down here because I really like this school and enjoy every moment. It also becomes something that I can enjoy even more when I go home for breaks because I try to get up to the mountain as much as possible. I hope everyone is able to experience this thrill at once in their life.
