I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University).

I completed my Master's from IIT Delhi (first rank) and a Joint PhD from Monash University (Australia) and IIT Bombay (India). My Postdoc was from Columbia University (New York, USA) with Prof Andrea Califano (a pioneer in Systems Biology). Then I did a Research Fellowship from Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Harvard University, Boston, USA. My interests are in transcriptional regulation, cancer biology, machine learning, systems biology, and cell culture.

I am currently working on identifying the mechanics of cancer and its metastasis. Previously, I have worked on dynamic and stochastic modelling of regulatory networks; applied machine learning techniques to biological data to infer regulatory networks; aberrant regulatory interactions in fibrosis and cancer; and dynamical modelling of electrical systems.

Research interests

Transcriptional regulation, systems biology, cancer biology, precision and molecular medicine, biological systems modeling, AI/ML, single cell technologies, transcriptomics, and cell culture.
