I am a former corporate transactional attorney with experience in private equity M&A deals. I decided that my calling in life was to serve others and am currently training to become an emergency medicine physician. While I enjoy patient care I am driven by the prospect of impacting as many people as I can and am excited by the possibilities at the intersection of medicine and technology. To this end, I am interested in exploring and helping develop and disseminate effective mobile medical technology tools to aid in the diagnosis and management of diseases. Global health issues and tropical medicine are other interests of mine.
Along my journey, I have co-founded a legal outsourcing company, gained experience in private equity on the legal and business sides, founded a pro bono legal clinic for battered women in NYC, worked on human and civil rights issues locally and abroad and published papers on artificial heart devices and neglected tropical diseases.
I recieved my B.A. in Political Science/International Affairs and M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University, J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law and M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
