AJ Hesselink is a senior communications, marketing and brand expert working for a large European technology company, living in Singapore. I am obsessed with technology, innovation, corporate strategy and integration of the lot toward real business success. I firmly believe that only those (technology) companies that at their core aim to positively impact our lives have a chance at long-term succes - provided they're able to communicate their efforts and vision in a way that moves, mobilizes and engages people.
The first part of my career was in international publishing, lastly as bureau chief for Dow Jones News and The Wall Street Journal Benelux. Then in 2006, I joined Royal Philips as head of global Media Relations. Since then, I have led integrated communications for the company's Lighting division and built a fully integrated marketing function as the CMO of the company in APAC. I am currently back the global office of Philips, leading a transformation of the function as well as building up a new content marketing practice as vice-president of Integrated Marketing.
I'm also a dedicated father of two amazing kids and the husband of the love of my life.
