AJ Navarro

Musician and Student in Philippines

Listen to my music

AJ Navarro is your main pop queer artist from Las Piñas City. Born and raised in Lagonoy, Camarines Sur, they grew up in a family who loves listening and singing to music as a form of bonding on special gatherings. After being encouraged to join a singing competition, it ignited their desire to become an artist and performer.

As a queer kid, AJ has faced discrimination, and through music, they could express themselves freely without a care in the world! This drew them to write their own songs that would bring inspiration and empowerment to the whole world.

In 2021, AJ released their first single, “Please Be Mine”. In May 2022, they collaborated with UP Music Circle Artist Max Guanzon with their single “Angas”. AJ would later on release the Pinoy LGBT Anthem “Bahaghari” during pride month, and political rock anthem “Nasa Masa” on September 23, 2022, 2 days after the 50th Anniversary of Martial Law in the Philippines

On their other works, AJ has collaborated with Sean Cercado, the Prodfessor, and Jan Romina to create “Tayo ay Tomasino”, the official Send-Off Station ID of the UST Conservatory of Music Graduates of 2020 & 2021. They also contributed as a Recording and Mixing Engineer for Musicians for Leni-Kiko on their rendition of “Rosas” by Gab Pangilinan

Their music can be described as Pop, which is heavily influenced by Main Pop Girls of the 2010s, mainly Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Ariana Grande and many more!
