Anthony Springer is a mass media and communications aficionado with experience in public relations, journalism, social media and research.
A summer internship at a Las Vegas radio station in 2000 jump started Anthony’s budding media career. After working his way up the ranks, Anthony earned an on-air position and co-hosted a weekend show from 2001-2008.
In 2005, he re-discovered his love for the written word after landing a position as a writer at Hip Hop DX. Anthony quickly established a reputation for hard hitting editorials and coverage of political and social issues. During his tenure at the site, he served as a News Editor, columnist, contributing writer and photographer.
His work has also been published in Ultimate MMA magazine, Fight! Magazine, BET.com, Las Vegas City Life, The BVX, FightNews, Knockout Nation and Las Vegas night life blog Daily Fiasco.
Anthony transitioned to professional communications work in 2012, working in the communications office of the nation's fifth-largest school district. He is currently the public information coordinator at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities and assists social organizations and individuals with public relations campaigns or brand building.
Anthony holds a BA and MA in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
He can be found in the far corners of the Internet, writing about communication and careers at the aptly named Communication and Careers blog.
Anthony is actively seeking opportunities in the following areas of communications: Science and Health, Education and/or Nonprofit.
