Arthur James Wells Sr.

Michigan

Mr. Arthur James Wells Sr., an intelligent man, was born to the late Williams & Lucinda Wells of Mississippi. Mr. AJ Wells Sr. is/was the eighth child of the Wells chain. Circa 1943, the Wells family moved from Mississippi to Michigan where he and his siblings took flight.
At the age of 25, AJ began working for Ford Motor Company at the Ypsilanti, MI plant. Mr. Wells had the philosophy to “never do what came easiest.” He believed it proved a man’s character by the selections he made from the options presented to him. Many men hide their options and reveal the worst of the best stories to gain respect.
Mr. Arthur James Wells Sr. believe in simply “telling the truth.” Mr. Wells is/was a man where everyone knew him for his helps, so many people knew him differently. To his beautiful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren he was known as a protector, a provider, and a leader. Quietly, his descendants followed his footsteps, walking a path a great man paved before them. Mr. Wells believed that every generation should be better than the one before it; If you walk a rocky path, it was your responsibility to smooth it out!, if you walked a dark path, it was your responsibility to provide light.
To his friends, Arthur was known as a strong man who possessed a unique ability to play the guitar. Not only is/was AJ a good friend, he is/was the only person most of his buddies could confide in when things got difficult.
Arthur and his brothers, Escue and Moses were the only men of Williams and Lucinda. Their presence in the Wells family spoke volume. These men lead the Wells family with great honor. They have passed the Wells legacy down to their children and grandchildren. These brothers believed in family and with that unity. Arthur always taught his children: Unity, Structure, and Growth. You must have this to succeed.
