Olawale Akadiri

thanks for stopping by my page. I am Olawale Akadiri. A passionate photographer, Nikon Enthusiast, content creator, blogger, and a Google Adwords Advanced Certified individual. My success story might have started from receiving an academic scholarship in high school in 2003, a badge of Honour Award at Leadership Training Center, Sea-School, Apapa in 2007, and couple of years later became a certified and professional public speaker from NIPSA in 2010.

My pursuit of becoming a digital marketer started February, 2014 after a competition from Google was announced in my school (Google Online Marketing Challenge). I enrolled for it without hesitating, although I knew virtually nothing about digital marketing at the time. Little training and numerous personal research was all I had as my team of 6 registered for the competition. I vice-captained my team for 3 weeks during the competition and the mission was to give Automedics Limited the online presence and sales they deserve in 3 weeks. At the end of the competition, with a budget of $250, we amazingly generated an ROI of over 2900.97% against a proposed 150%. This made us World's runner up and Africa/ Middle East Champions.

On the other hand, been a photographer has exposed me to talented people, places, models, mentors and my environment, I cherish nature and beauty in all its forms. In my little travels around the world, I daily come across people who want to express themselves and their talents but lack the right medium. This vision has prompted me to set up a platform (www.afrishot.com) which was launched in May. This site contains works, dreams, visions, business ideas,of people I meet daily and what they desire to contribute to the ever- developing world.

On a final note, in my daily climb to success, I motivate myself with a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr "And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead... We cannot turn back". The Bible concluded that, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope, and a FUTURE.” -Jer 29:11. These words keep me climbing.
