Akbar Nikmatullah Dachlan

Akbar Nikmatullah Dachlan was born in Jakarta on 28th of October 1989 and received his Bachelor degree from Faculty of Economics, Universitas Indonesia (FEUI) majoring Public Economics in 2012 with Best Graduates Predicate in Activist. He was also trusted from the Faculty to become a Valedictorian in FEUI Graduation Day (Yudisium). Akbar continued his Post-Graduate study in 2013, with scholarship from Indonesia Endowment Fund (LPDP), majoring in Development Economics at University of Birmingham, UK. He was graduated with Merit predicate, within 1-year period.

When Akbar was a student of FEUI, he participated in several students activities, He became the President of Student Union (BEM) in FEUI for the year 2010. He was active contributing articles in national newspapers and winning several competitions, such as debate competition and scientific paper competitions. He once represented his University as a speaker in a discussion held by National Television of Republic Indonesia (TVRI).

The journey of his career mostly involved in research and teaching activities. He became a Teaching Assistant in International Undergraduate Program, FEUI. Moreover, he also active in research activities in some government and private institutions, like Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Ministry of Industry, Institute for Economics and Social Research (LPEM) FEB UI, Demographic Institution (LD) FEB UI, The Indonesian Institute, and Ministry of National Development and Planning (PPN).

After his graduation from Master degree, he was appointed as the Vice-Rector in newly-established university in east region of Indonesia, namely Sumbawa University of Technology (UTS).

Currently, Akbar is joining Baseline Study for 12-year Compulsory Education Program Team at Directorate of Education, Ministry of National Development and Planning (PPN).
