Akinola AbdulQudus, popularly known as MPILIS. is a third-year Nursing Science student, student leader, writer, and public speaker currently pursuing a degree in Nursing Science at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

Hailing from Kwara State, he is widely recognized for his passion for education, servant leadership, and community development. He has consistently dedicated himself to empowering students through academic mentorship, welfare initiatives, intellectual engagement, and impactful leadership, leaving a lasting positive influence both within and beyond the university community.

ACADEMICS

Demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence by mentoring and supporting students across diverse fields, including Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Public Health, MBBS, and the Physical Sciences, as well as JAMB and JUPEB candidates, extending beyond Al-Hikmah University to several other institutions.

Dedicated countless hours to simplifying complex courses such as Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus, ensuring that students developed confidence and understanding through compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for learning, all at no financial cost.

Founded and pioneered ME 2 YOU ACADEMY, the first initiative of its kind within the institution, designed to promote quick and effective learning through innovative quizzes, critical thinking exercises, and simplified teaching methods that strengthened students' problem-solving abilities.

Curated and distributed valuable academic resources, including audio-visual learning materials, study guides, and educational content, contributing significantly to the academic growth of the student community.

Played a pivotal role in establishing ELITE TUTORIALS, an academic initiative that has consistently guided students through challenging academic periods and examinations with remarkable success for three consecutive academic sessions since 2023.

LEADERSHIP

Built a reputation as a visionary student leader through dedicated service in several leadership capacities, consistently placing the welfare and interests of fellow students above personal ambition.

Served as Class Representative, providing effective representation, advocacy, and coordination that strengthened communication between students and departmental authorities while promoting academic and social harmony.

Served as Administrator and Coordinator of the Nigerian Chess Association from 23 July 2023 to the present, mentoring students and nurturing intellectual growth through the strategic game of chess while promoting discipline, patience, and analytical thinking.

Successfully served as Second Assistant General Secretary of NUNSA, contributing meaningfully to an administration widely recognized for excellence, accountability, and impactful service delivery.

Earned the confidence of the student body through election as Auditor-General of NUNSA, receiving an overwhelming mandate that reflected trust in transparency, integrity, and responsible leadership.

GENERAL WELFARE

Remained actively committed to humanitarian service through continuous participation in charitable interventions aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable members of society.

Played an instrumental role in supporting the FOMWAN Charity Home through fundraising initiatives from 2024 to the present, mobilizing resources for the welfare and care of its beneficiaries.

Through collaboration with dedicated and like-minded individuals, successfully coordinated the landmark Iftar Ramadan Program held on 8 March 2026, serving over 800 students and more than 100 members of the surrounding community, with a total impact exceeding 1,000 beneficiaries.

Contributed significantly to fundraising efforts that generated over ₦2 million, demonstrating the power of unity, generosity, and collective responsibility toward community welfare.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT & CONTRIBUTIONS

Represented Al-Hikmah University at the prestigious All Nigeria Universities Debate and Academic Championship (ANUDAC) in the British Parliamentary Debate, where, alongside a debate partner, outstanding performances resulted in First- and Second-Place finishes across five competitive rounds against participants from universities nationwide.

Co-founded and currently administers the Al-Hikmah University Chess Club, established on 24 April 2025, alongside passionate chess enthusiasts, laying a strong foundation for the advancement of chess within the institution.

Emerged as a two-time University Chess Runner-Up and became the first Champion of the Al-Hikmah University Chess Club, inspiring greater student participation and excellence in competitive chess.
