Austin, Texas, United States
Armed with a degree in electronics engineering, five years of work experience and a zest for learning, I moved to Austin to start a new chapter in my life.
Prior to joining B-school, I worked as a Strategy and Operations consultant, where I got insights into how a variety of businesses work and access to a top notch network of people! As part of the Deloitte Consulting Immersion Program, I was exposed to a myriad of opportunities and post-MBA, I look forward to taking my consulting career forward at Deloitte.
Back home in India, I was an active member of Robin Hood Army (RHA), a not-for-profit organisation working towards ending hunger and food wastage globally. I led one of the Delhi chapters, managing a team of over 85 volunteers. Continuing my commitment to social responsibility, I am already in talks with restaurants here to set up RHA’s Austin chapter.
I love to hit the road whenever I have a few days to myself. Travelling teaches me new things with every adventure. It has helped me learn to adapt, think out-of-the-box, challenge my limits and understand perspectives of people from across the world. I have driven in four continents and my bike has clocked over 10,000 miles in the Himalayas alone.
Being a foodie, I make it a point to live like the locals wherever I go, feasting on their cuisines and, more often than not, taking home a few recipes. I am on a mission to sample every beer in the world (213 and counting!) and hopefully, attending the Austin Beer Week with my fellow MBA Brewing Association members will bring me closer to my goal.
I am excited about attending the SXSW Interactive and the ACL and also plan to head back to San Marcos to train for a solo skydive.
I come to school with many ideas and plans, but even more questions. I look forward to working with my peers towards becoming visionary leaders and changing the world.
