Hi I'm Janna Marie M. Balaod . Cute little woman :)) Yes, I am . 20 years of age but 5" of height .

My beginning as a legally recognized individual occurred on October 5 in Lying Inn, an inn that still exists in Davao City. Of course I can't consciously remember anything from the first two or three years of my life after birth. But facts are available as my parents and relatives told me how behave I am when i was a baby. :D

My father, originally named Agripino C. Balaod Jr., but called Jun, was a Carpenter. He was a Civil Engineer and consequently had not been in actual front lines of his course. He was originally from Davao City and had obtained his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the Univeristy of Davao.

My mother, originally Marilou M. Balaod, but called Malou, was born in Davao City. She had studied at Daniel R. Aguinaldo High School and graduated High school before her marriage. My mother is the eldest of the family.

I’m the second eldest of 4 children.

I went to the standard schools in Jose Bastida Elementary School but also to a kindergarten before starting in the elementary school level. And my parents provided an encyclopedia that I often read as a child. And also there were other books available from either our house or the house of the grandmother that were of educational value.

By the time I was a student in high school I dreamt of becoming a chef one day and be able to cook foods I want. Thus, as soon as i graduated High School in Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School, I took the chance of applying for a Scholarship as a Student Training Assistant in the university, the University of Mindanao. But I have enrolled as an Engineering student major in Computer. With my continued pursuance, hard work and hope for a brighter future coupled my family's words of wisdom; I was able to gain my status as a working student of the university. I worked there in order for me to lessen my tuition fee. I was assigned in the Computer Laboratory in Matina campus.

Statistically, it would seem improbable that any student, at the age of 17, would be able through continued sacrifices and efforts, to add to my achievements. And now, that I’m 23, I have hopes of being able to achieve something of value through my current studies or with any new ideas that come in the future to help my family and rise the style of living that we have now with God's grace and guidance.
