Alex Kormushoff is a global business leader of technology-enabled business services who focuses on corporate growth and international market expansion. Alex has over 30 years of experience in commercializing technology innovation by creating business vision, scaling operational processes and driving execution. Alex has lead many new business start-ups and has restructured mature companies for revitalized growth.
In his early career, Alex’s domain focus was on supply side productivity for companies in the manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors. For the past 15 years, his focus has been on driving competiveness on the demand side of the equation. By integrating supply and demand, his work has enabled growth and competiveness through the use of Electronic Commerce, Predictive Analytics, and One-to-One Marketing.
Most recently, Alex was Senior Vice President Worldwide Operations (COO) for SPSS, the $300 million global leader of Predictive Analytics. Alex departed SPSS in December 2009 after it’s sale to IBM for $1.2 billion. Prior to SPSS, Alex was Executive Vice President Worldwide Operations and, for a time, Interim CEO of Broadvision, a global provider of enterprise electronic commerce applications.
Before BroadVision, Alex was Managing Director of Sapient Corporation, a $650 million business consulting and technology services firm. In this role, he built Sapient’s Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution business from the ground up. Additionally, Alex launched Sapient Germany and was Chief Executive (Geschäftsführer) of that business unit.
Currently Alex is active in assisting emerging companies in social networking and cloud based computing. In addition to Macedonia 2025, Alex is a member of the Pennsylvania State University School of Business Administration Advisory Board and is a mentor for Excelerate Labs – a Business Start-up Incubator in Chicago.
