Al Aguirre is Chairman of the Board and member of the Compensation Committee at Select Staffing, a top 10 nationwide staffing agency owned by Anchorage Capital Group, Blue Mountain Capital Management, Pine River Capital Management, Redwood Capital Management and other financial sponsors. Al also serves as Director and member of the Compensation Committee and Governance Committee of Central Pacific Financial Corp. (NYSE:CPF). CPF, the holding company for Central Pacific Bank, is a publicly traded commercial bank with financial sponsorship led by Anchorage and The Carlyle Group. Al also serves as Lead Director of Advanstar Communications Inc., a leading B2B events, online and publishing platform serving the fashion, life sciences and motor sports industries. Advanstar is owned by Anchorage, Ares Management, Veronis Suhler Stevenson and other financial sponsors. Al is also Chairman of the Board and member of the Audit and Compensation Committees of Cygnus Business Media, a business-to-business publishing company owned by Goldman Sachs, GE Capital and other financial sponsors. Prior to serving in director roles, Al held principal investing, capital markets, and advisory roles as a managing director at Warburg Pincus, an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and a securities attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell. Al has also served in senior management roles at several media and technology businesses where he was instrumental in shaping strategy, driving growth and achieving successful financings and exits. Al has also served in various not for profit capacities, including, currently, as a Director of Father Joe's Village in San Diego, and has also served as Chairman of the Town of Tiburon Planning Commission. He resides in Rancho Santa Fe, CA.
