Alain Chica

Alain Chica is a longtime registered nurse with VA Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He assists elderly and critically ill patients through providing personal care services and prescribed medical treatments. Alain Chica’s responsibilities include assessments and documenting observations, as well as prescribing treatments and providing personal care services.

Mr. Chica attended Miami Dade College and earned his degree in general arts. He subsequently gained qualification as a licensed practical nurse and completed an associate’s degree in nursing through Excelsior College. He holds Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and has past work experience with Blue Ridge Healthcare Center in Raleigh.

Speaking Spanish and English fluently, Mr. Chica emphasizes professional bedside manner and strives to provide responsive care. He undertakes tasks such as blood draw and IV drug therapy management, and is experienced in colostomy care. He also holds certification in administering CPR and is active with the North Carolina Nursing Association. In his free time, Alain Chica enjoys activities such as exercising, gaming, and shooting.
