With great excitement and pride, I am beginning my 9th year back home at NEISD and my 12th year in Education! I am a former graduate and a state champion from Winston Churchill High School, who played college soccer for UIW @ SA. After working in the private sector a few years, I returned to school and graduated from Texas State University in 2012, earning a degree in ELA with an emphasis in creative writing. Furthermore, coaching and playing soccer have been a passion of mine, so for over 12 years I have officiated and coached the sport. In regards to education, I have taught British Literature for 8 years, Senior AP ELA for 1 year, ELA III for 1 year, and Freshman ELA for 1 year. Fortunately, I married my wife Monica in 2015, and as a result, she blessed me with my two stepdaughters, Ysabella and Yliz. Charles Santiago, my first-born, arrived in February of 2017. Consequently, his brother David Leonel arrived two days after Christmas 2018, so now I adore a family of six. Essential life elements for me include family time, reading short fiction or the news, modifying my Jeep Renegade, doing anything outdoors, teaching and coaching, and traveling. Enthusiastically keeping Rider Pride alive!
