Alan Hogan
Artist and Designer in Karis, Finland
Originally from Ireland, I am a visual artist now living in Finland. I paint a variety of subjects in a unique style which mix traditional values with a hint of contemporary and sometimes melancholy undertones. A graduate of art and design from DIT Ireland, I worked for many years in the Irish print industry before moving to Finland in 2007. This is where I re-ignited my passion for painting, with several exhibitions already displayed including the popular ‘Helsinki Design Week’. When not painting I am interested in photography, watching movies or simply chilling out to my favorite music!
I currently live in the bilingual (Finnish/Swedish) town of Karis in southern Finland, where I continue to paint and sell my art. You can also find me living globally at my Facebook page.
My blog is called 'Hogan's Blog' where I occasionally post about art, travel and cultural differences in and outside my new home of Finland.
