"So, when your eulogy's being read with your life's actions to rehash... would you be proud of the things they say about how you spend your dash?"- Linda Ellis The dash that is my life up until now, began in a small town in west Texas. Fort Stockton, home of the world's largest roadrunner Piasano Pete, sits in the middle of nowhere. It's a backroads-hangout-in-parking-lots-friday-night-football kind of place. I wouldn't have had it any other way because it taught me the importance of a tight knit community, life-long relationships, a simple smile and wave, and staying humble. One of the biggest impacts being from a small town in the middle of nowhere is that it made my college decision pretty easy. My dream school was: a lot of tradition, big on football, and far away from west Texas. Don't get me wrong, I love west Texas, but I wanted to experience something different. Right off the bat Texas Tech was out of question because of proximity. My requirements left me with two options, University of Texas or Texas A&M; University. This small town girl did not move to the big city, just another small town eight hours away and in the middle of a lot. In 2009 I started my college career, or journey, at A&M.; The dash in between 2009 and 2013 is filled with amazing memories. More importantly, college taught me an immense amount about myself. Even with three weeks left until graduation, I am coming to realize just who I am up until now. So up until now I am a photographer, graphic designer, and student leader ready to take on the real world!
