May you find peace, strength and contentment in your practice...
Yoga allows us to peel away the physical, emotional and mental layers; to remove the pieces of armor, known or unknown, that add weight and hinder our realization of our divine Selves, whether it be a physically beautiful and healthy body, a clear mind and/or an overall sense of contentment and well-being.
My classes are grounding, strong and soft; qualities that are fueled by deep attention to breath (pranayama), movement and alignment (hatha yoga), focus (dharana), and meditation (dhyana). But it’s the cultivation and shifting of awareness of the seemingly little things within our bodies, hearts, minds, and our relationship with ourselves and others that are the nuggets of gold.
A life-long devoted student – I've been teaching yoga in NYC at various venues (yoga studios, law firms and health clubs) including online, in group classes and 1:1.
Deep gratitude to my teachers: Barbara Joseph, a major early influence, and Yoganand Michael Carroll who initiated my yoga sadhana of teaching. To my daughter who expands the “breath” and depth of my practice in countless and unimaginable ways! To my family and friends for their unending love and support. To the numerous teachers I've had the privilege of learning from, including Paul Grilley -- and big love and shout out to Erich Schiffmann and Barbara Verrochi. And to my students who keep me real and humble, I bow to you.
