Welcome, I'm Alana!

I have been teaching for 2 years as a grade 2/3 teacher. However, I am looking to gain more knowledge, confidence and resources in order to teach the intermediate grades. I have an undergraduate degree in English Literature, so it only felt natural to join a professional development course where I can share my passion for reading and writing with future students of mine! My goal for becoming an English Teacher is so that students stop fearing grammar and essay writing.

I absolutely love reading thriller novels, however, in the past 2 years, I have started to enjoy nonfiction history books that focus on specific countries in Europe and Asia that I have explored.
