Alan Bedenko
Buffalo, NY
Most of you know me because I write the "Buffalopundit" blog and Twitter feed. My blog is now carried by the Public, Western New York's free and independent alternative weekly, where I post new content a few times per week.
I'm a moderate Democrat, a Buffalo realist, someone who doesn't necessarily always toe the Buffalove party line. I think that criticism and humor are cathartic, if not effective, ways to deal with the longstanding systemic problems we face in this region.
I previously wrote for Artvoice and WNYMedia.net, where we exposed Gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino's penchant for sending out racist and pornographic emails to his many friends.
I am a litigation attorney in the Buffalo, New York area, admitted to practice in New York State and the Western and Southern federal districts. I formerly wrote about food for the Buffalo Spree, and judged Buffalo's "Nickel City Chef" competitions.
I live with my wife and two daughters in a Buffalo suburb, and have recently begun getting involved in the school district there. We love to travel, and I speak Croatian.
