Dr. Alan Drummond is a family/emergency physician practicing in rural Perth, Ontario, Canada. He is certified in emergency medicine with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He was the medical director of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital (Perth GWM site) from 1988 to 2012. He is a Past President of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (1992-1993) and Past Chair of the Ontario Medical Association's Section on Emergency Medicine (1997-1999). He is an advocate for an improved standard of emergency care in Canada. He is the current co-chair of the Public Affairs Committee of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians. He is the 2008 recipient of the Canadian Medical Association's Sir Charles Tupper Award for Political Action.
