Alan Kamis is a transformational Chief Operating Officer who specializes in scaling growth-stage and distributed service organizations. He brings decades of experience institutionalizing execution, building operating infrastructure, and aligning financial discipline with sustainable expansion.

As COO of CodeMax, Alan leads operational scaling within a rapidly growing multi-site services organization, driving revenue growth, expanding national capabilities, and strengthening EBITDA performance through disciplined operating model design and workforce strategy.

Previously, Alan held executive leadership roles at NextGen Healthcare, where he led a $120M global R&D organization of more than 1,000 professionals across the U.S., India, and Eastern Europe. During his tenure, he transformed delivery predictability from 15% to 95%, reduced labor costs by $20M, and institutionalized governance and performance frameworks to support scalable growth.

Throughout his career — including leadership roles at CVS/Caremark, The TriZetto Group, and CNET Networks — Alan has built enterprise PMOs, re-architected global delivery models, and guided organizations through complex transformation while preserving cultural cohesion and operational stability.

Alan’s leadership philosophy is grounded in integrity, accountability, and service — shaped by his early career as a Paramedic with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Systems. That foundation instilled a calm, decisive approach under pressure and a commitment to outcomes over activity.

He is a frequent speaker on leadership, execution discipline, and organizational resilience, presenting at global forums including Project World and the Global PMO Summit.

Alan holds an MBA and MS from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Brandeis University.
