Alan Ramsay

Mürren, Bernese Oberland, Switzerland

I started working at the Schilthorn Cableway Ltd in August as the sales manager after managing two hotels over the last 15 years in Mürren, a car free village in the Swiss Alps with stunning views to Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. I took over the management of Eiger Guesthouse with my wife in 1999 and built it up over the following 10 years into a very successful small business. We left the Guesthouse in April 2010 in the very best of health having renovated all of the bedrooms and achieving the number 1 ranking on Trip Advisor in Mürren.

After a short break spent traveling in South Africa and Spain, we took over the management of the Hotel Jungfrau in November 2010. We decided to leave at the end of April 2013 in order to allow at least one parent more time with our two girls aged 9 and 11.

Working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years has given me the experience to deal with and serve clients from every walk of life and from every corner of the world

I have been an active member of the Organising Committees of:

International Inferno Ski Races with over 1800 competitors.
