Alan has worked professionally in the fields of computer science, retail electronics, music, and archaeology. Although there was that time he was a driver for vehicles going through auto auctions...until a car caught on fire with him in it. Luckily there were no injuries sustained but it did cause him to rethink his initial career choice. He has completed over 150 hours of college credit (after attempting over 180) at five different universities, and managed to never graduate with a single degree. Currently he writes novels and creates children's picture books.
