Director, Project Manager, and Public Speaker in New York
Alban Boucher earned his B.S. degree in Social Work at Nyack College and a M.S. degree in Non-Profit Management, with a focus on Social Policy, at Milano the New School for Management and Urban Policy.
His professional experience includes fellowships in administration at Cabrini Medical Center and Haiti Corps International, a job agency in Haiti that connects Haitian professionals with jobs working for nonprofit organizations and NGO`S located in Haiti, tutoring and counseling at Generation Xcel After School (a holistic youth outreach program based in the housing projects of Manhattan's Lower East Side) and social work at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and Graham Windham Foster Care Services.
Alban has also worked with various non-profit organizations such as the Haitian American Caucus, Urban Neighborhood Services, Graham Windham, the Young and Professional Group, and the French speaking Baptist Church of the Redeemer. He has also served as a teaching assistant at City University of New York College Now Program (Introduction to Sociology) and at Nyack College (Theology of Poverty). Alban Boucher is the former Program Manager of the Haitian Policy Initiative; a policy center within the Haitian American Caucus that seeks to provide quality, empirical research to produce feasible practices that advance the Haitian community in New York City. Alban is also the former Dean of Students for New Visions Charter High School for Advanced Math and Science. Alban currently the founder and CEO the Mens Club, an organization dedicated to school turnaround and discipline reform.
He is currently the Community School Director of Brooklyn Gardens Elementary School.
