Albert C. Yuen, CFA is a Managing Director of DesVoeux Guilford, a single-family office investment firm and research consultant. Albert is also an executive member of HRN, a multi-family office advisory platform with interests in venture tech, real estate, biotech, and alternatives. He carries the Series 7, 79, and 63 designations as a representative of TigerBridge Capital, a FINRA licensed broker-dealer.
Previously, Albert was a Managing Partner with New York-based boutique investment bank Kariba Capital, a Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee Member at pioneering emerging and frontier market investment firm LR Global (offices in NYC, Vietnam, and Bangladesh); where he was instrumental in launching, managing, and structuring the firm's Frontier Market investment vehicles. He spent nearly a decade with Rockefeller & Co. in New York City, holding various responsibilities including Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst with the firm’s Global Equity Team; leading investment holdings in Financial Services and Healthcare.
Mr. Yuen has held positions with Liberty Square Asset Management, a ground-breaking Boston-based international hedge fund, and Salomon Smith Barney, among other roles.
Albert has a broad range of experience with companies involved in the Resources, Energy, Technology, Agriculture, Healthcare/Biotech, and Financial Services Sectors. He is also extremely passionate about developing markets, entrepreneurship, and social and environmental impact investing.
As a recognized authority in emerging markets, he has been a visible actor in several high-profile transactions within Africa and other developing economies. Mr. Yuen has also been quoted and interviewed as an expert on capital markets and international development.
A graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, cum laude, with a degree in Finance and Accounting, he is also a recipient of the Public Leadership Credential from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He holds the CFA Charter and has been an active member of CFA Society NY, having served on the Chapter's Board Nominating Committee, as a speaker and panelist on several Global Investment events, as a founding officer of the Chapter’s Toastmasters organization, and as Vice-Chair of the Society's Institutional Asset Management Committee.
