I am a Technical Advisor and I internally quality assure Assessors and Tutors for Training Providers.

I am a Water Sports Performance Coach, Sports Tutor and Assessor with over 26 years experience and knowledge in all the related aspects of performance coaching in kayaking, sailing, power boating, sports leadership and coaching awards. I assist coaches, athletes and watersports participants with the most innovative, effective, inclusive and ethical means to help each achieve her/his goals.

I run QCF, Royal Yachting Association, British Canoeing, Sports Leaders UK and Higher Level Apprenticeship courses and programmes for full-time or part-time learners. The qualifications provide career development opportunities for those already in work, and progression opportunities to higher education, degree and professional development within the same or related areas of study for those not in education, employment or training.

I formulate training programmes based on what the group or individual wants to get out of the experience, timings, code of conduct, ages, learning experiences, abilities, ethnicity and diversity, resources the group/individual will bring and any additional learner needs. I make sure that the learning objectives are specific, measurable, agreed, realistic and timed. I formulate projects that deliver agreed outcomes.

I run a free of charge Coach Mentoring Scheme.

I am the founder and Head Coach of Surrey Canoe Club and the Commodore of Laleham Sailing Club.
